A CENTENARY REFLECTION IN SILENCE : 100 YEARS OF MARCEL MARCEAU

“In silence and movement you can show the reflection of people…”

“In a moment of grace we can grasp eternity in the palm of our hand. This is the gift given to creative individuals who can identify with the mysteries of life through art.”

                              Marcel Marceau

As an artist through many years, who was unique and esteemed in his field, Marcel Marceau is known and remembered as a great mime.

As a humanitarian who from aged seventeen, along with his brother and their felow youth  in the French Resistence, helped to save hundreds of Jewish lives, Marcel Marceau ought to be known and  remembered as a great man.

We celebrate both as we honour his 100th Birthday. We saw him perform live on stage at the Royal Festival Hall to celebrate his fiftieth year in the performing arts, when Steven Berkoff presented him with a special commemoration silver plate. He lives on as inspiring artistry and humanity,  we present this for the special commemoration of the centenary of his birth.
